Tips for BSNL Kerala broadband customers

You can check your Broadband usage by sending SMS (from BSNL mobile phones only ) .Type BBUSE give a space then type STD code and telephone number and send it to 52295 .eg: If your landphone number is 23033 and your STD code is 0471 then type BBUSE 047123033. Shortly you will get a message from 52295 showing your broadband usage .
You can also check your broadband usage from http://dataone.in. Use your portal ID and password to login.
To register complaints regarding your broadband connection dial 12678 from bsnl landphone or dail STD code +12678 from BSNL mobile handset.
Parallel phone connections may degrade your broadband connection performance.So connect only one land phone handset to the Splitter .
Turn off the Modem after use because if your PC is virus infected ,it may perform download and upload process automatically and your broadband bill may go up
To control your broaband usage make sure automatic update of Operating system and other application softwares are turnedd off .
During lightning remove modem connection from splitter that can help to prevent your modem and PC from lightening accidents
